A friend of mine who is a “true” subject matter expert, recently gave up his job and has decided to only be a consultant for a few days every month on a free-lance basis. This way he hopes to earn enough money as well as have the free time he always yearned for. So it’s all about skill enhancement. If you have the skills, you can make them work for you…..recession or not.
I completely agree with what you have mentioned towards the end. Lee Iacocca had written in his autobiography that his father always used to have great faith in the restaurant business….simple theory….even during recession, people wouldn’t stop eating.
