Unfortunately I had to resign. HR in a private organisation can be a bit funny, especially if the organisation is not very big. Whatever you say goes straight to the Manager.

I am looking for another job. I can't take the stress any longer. My boss, unfortunately, owns the company.

Oh yes, how about working for a small local not for profit organization? Who can you complain to when the manager is all there is? This very controlling manager makes life miserable for most of the way under-staffed employees who can do nothing right while doing five peoples jobs all at once. I am looking for another job period. Had it with workplace politics

I work for a huge company and my boss was responsible for over 6 people leaving. It looks like I will be number 7. I took a communications course and he expressed all of the traits that we learned were not acceptable. He just doesn’t talk to me. Not at all. How can you deal with that?

It is an extremely difficult situation when working with an uncooperative boss. Complaining to the HR does not matter in many such cases if the boss is in good terms with the HR or perhaps the HR would favor the manager ..
You would expect that with such a bad record of 6 employees leaving because of him would wake up management on this issue – it does not happen often, they always have their own issues to deal with. Sigh .. not a happy scenario but true.
It entirely depends on situation to situation but it is true and stats reveal that most employees do not leave a position because of dissatisfaction with the work they have but with the people they work with- more often the BOSS.
How to deal with what you are going… again depends .. but when things just don’t work out then one of the best things is to find a new opportunity within the company. However when push comes to shove- and your life becomes miserable it is just not worth it to continue being miserable.. look for another position while you are on the good books of HR and before your boss can influence any negative feedbacks to the management to tarnish your reputation.
    Happens people I’ve seen that…
    Good luck!
